Matthew St. Laurent, MD, FACS, received his undergraduate and medical degrees at Texas A&M University. He completed his surgical training at the University of Texas Health Science Center, after which he joined the United States Air Force, where he served as a general surgeon for four years. Upon his return to Houston, he continued his education in bariatric surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. Additionally, Dr. Laurent has completed multiple weight loss surgery courses, which has allowed him to perfect the most sophisticated surgical techniques.
