More About the Surgeons of Bariatric Solutions

Eric S. Bour, MD, FACS, completed an undergraduate degree at Emory University in Atlanta and a medical degree at the Pennsylvania State University Milton S. Hershey Medical School, where he also performed a surgical residency and a research fellowship. Dr. Bour was a faculty member at the Pennsylvania State University Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, as well as the University of South Carolina. He currently serves as the Medical Director of Bariatric Solutions.

John D. Scott, MD, earned an undergraduate degree in biology from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, and a Master of Science degree in molecular cell sciences from the University of Memphis. Dr. Scott completed a medical degree at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, and a general surgery residency at the Greenville Hospital System University Medical Center. Dr. Scott went on to perform a minimally invasive and bariatric surgery fellowship at the University of Cincinnati. He served as an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Tennessee. He is a member of several medical organizations, including the Southeastern Surgical Society, the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
