What Do Patients Say About My Bariatric Solutions?

“Before Lap Band surgery I was so depressed because I had tried almost everything to get the weight off, and more importantly to keep it off, for the last 20 years. I heard about bariatric surgery three years before I actually decided to try it. My aversion was getting the ‘fill’ and seeing people that had not succeeded – but I also saw people that had succeeded and I wanted to know what they did that was different. I was borderline diabetic, on a very strong acid reflux medicine because of GERD, I had sleep apnea and just developed high blood pressure. I had no energy to do the things I used to do. I was miserable…

My Bariatric Solutions staff and Wise Regional Health System exceeded my expectations. I have lost the weight slowly and feel wonderful and have kept it off easily for over a year. I am off all meds. I still want to lose a little more but I am so much happier than I was before. As my daughter said this past Christmas ‘I have my mom back.’ Thank you My Bariatric Solutions staff.” —Michelle

“In January 2009 I began the process of preparing for Gastric Bypass Surgery…In July of 2009 we were ready for the big day and embarked on a life-changing journey. Since the surgery I have a new found confidence, a desire to try new and different things, as well as an energized enthusiasm for life. Prior to surgery I never let my weight interfere with things I wanted to do – but never realized how hard those things were due to my weight. Life has become easy since my surgery. Everything has changed – from the things I do to the things I choose to eat. 10 months post-opt I am within 11 pounds of achieving my ideal weight…” —Lisa

“WOW! Having weight loss surgery is just like getting old, ‘it’s not for WIMPS.’ It’s one of the hardest things I have ever done, but it has been worth it! I no longer take medication or have sleep apnea, asthma or diabetes. My health has improved and I feel great! Granted trying to change 50 years of bad eating habits is still a struggle everyday but one that I can manage now. I have lost 130 pounds since my surgery a year ago.

I can now shop till I drop with my friends. Before I just drove and sat in the car. I am taking ballroom dancing classes. I can now travel without the fear of having to ask for the seat belt extension…People that have known me for years don’t even recognize me. My ex-husband, to whom I was married to for 30 years, walked right past me without recognizing me. I AM A NEW WOMAN! Thank you, your wonderful staff at My Bariatric Solutions for changing my life.” —Deborah
