Brian Mirza, MD, FACS, is a board-certified general surgeon with advanced fellowship training in laparoscopic weight loss surgery from the renowned Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He has been in practice for more than 15 years, during which time he has successfully performed thousands of laparoscopic and bariatric surgery procedures with outstanding outcomes. His goal is to provide each patient with compassionate, state-of-the-art care.

Dr. Mirza offers the following bariatric weight loss procedures in Houston, Dallas and the surrounding area: adjustable gastric banding with Lap Band or Realize Band, laparoscopic gastric bypass surgery and laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (gastric sleeve surgery). With formal fellowship training in minimally invasive weight loss surgery, Dr. Mirza is able to perform all of these procedures using the laparoscopic approach. Laparoscopic weight loss surgery requires smaller incisions when compared to conventional open surgery. For patients who have not been successful at losing enough weight after prior weight loss surgery, or who wish to lose more, Dr. Mirza offers revisional bariatric surgery, a highly effective procedure that is more suitable for these patients and better fits their lifestyle.

Brian Mirza, MD, FACS, received his fellowship training in laparoscopic weight loss surgery at revered Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Prior to founding Bariatric Care Centers in Houston, Dr. Mirza was the director of minimally invasive surgery and surgical endoscopy at Saint Elizabeth Health Center in Ohio.
